**********

Within the last few days, Full Tilt Poker has made a very exciting announcement. The $25k Heads-Up World Championship has been set, and it will be the largest buy-in heads-up tournament ever held – online or live. Scheduled to begin Saturday, May 24th at 15:00 Eastern time and finish up on Sunday, May 25th, this tournament will be open to anyone who can buy or win their way in.

The $25k Heads-Up World Championship will be hosted by 2008 National Heads-Up Poker champion and Team Full Tilt member Chris “Jesus” Ferguson, who will also co-host a post-event commentary with Ali Nejad that will include key hands and matches from the event. So far, a number of Full Tilt Pros have signed up to compete, including Chris Ferguson, Andy Bloch, Phil Ivey, Erik Seidel, Gus Hansen, Howard Lederer, John Juanda, Brandon Adams, Brian Hastings, Cole South, David Benyamine, David Oppenheim, Huck Seed, Nick Schulman, Taylor Caby, Peter Jepsen, and Tom Dwan. A total of 32 seats have already been filled in the very short time since the tournament’s announcement.

Okay, you might be saying, “Ummm, it sounds like the tournament of a lifetime, but I do not have $25,000 to play in this event!” Full Tilt understands that dilemma, and for those who cannot or do not wish to buy in directly, they have set up two qualifiers. On Thursday, May 22nd and Friday, May 23rd – the two days leading up to the momentous event – there will be one qualifier each day that requires a buy-in of $500 + $35 and provides the opportunity to satellite your way in to the $25k Heads-Up World Championship.

Full Tilt is setting the cap on the heads-up event at 64 players, including four satellite qualifiers. Players are encouraged to reserve their seats in advance to ensure a spot in the elite field of competitors.

The timing for the $25k Heads-Up World Championship couldn’t be better. It will get underway just after the conclusion of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) VIII and just before the start of the 2008 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas at the end of May. Now is the time to get on board at Full Tilt Poker!
