OK, i finally did it. I finally moved up a level.I've played poker for three years now for real money, and I've won at every level. I won at 10-cent blinds, quarter blinds and, finally, 50-cent blinds, all of it playing no-limit. After winning a lot of money at 50-cent blinds, I've finally decided to start playing .50/$1 NL games on PokerStars.What's taken me so long?

Learning when people fold, call, or raise can help you better understand whether or not a particular hand makes sense and can lead you to make better decisions.

It's Not All About the Cards In the previous assignment, I laid out a complicated assignment that would help you learn to classify players. I went ahead and played a tournament using the assignment and am going to post the results here so that you all have something to use as a guide. Names have been removed to protect the innocent, and not so innocent.

It's Not All About The CardsNow that we have figured out how to classify the players, I believe it is important to understand the motivations and reasons players play the way they do. It is hard to understand this without going outside your comfort zone and experimenting.

It's Not All About The Cards In the last part, I classified the different players at my table. A reminder of what they were:Seat 1 = WeakSeat 3 = Combination between Calling Station and Maniac, loose aggressive player but because he seemed to be more active raising then calling I would lean towards the latter.
