The Johnson Filter

As more and more women were taking to the felt, I was beginning to worry that our gender edge was in jeapordy.

I once had a player at the table tell me I reminded him of KL. I’m not sure if he meant it as a compliment – but I said thank you anyway!

I had the briefest of conversations with Kathy Liebert as we walked in opposite directions in a hotel walkway. She probably had not been awake long, may have been jet-lagged and had probably just thrown on sweats to make sure she had registered for tournament.
She was pleasant and friendly but it was not a day she was playing and we were nowhere near a poker table.
I am certain if Kathy had ever busted me out of a tournament or stacked me in a cash game I might have a worse opinion of her.
But I hope I would have to lose on a bead beat suckout for me to denigrate her play

I get a kick when sometimes at the end of a live session, if I’ve done well, some guy at the table well say “You played well” but with a healthy dose of condescension and patronization. I smile, say thank-you, then rack up the chips I have in my stack that came from his stack and happily cash out.
