About Amy: The Poker Bio
I started writing about poker the first time I played poker. For me it was like the proverbial cigarette after sex; a way to savor one of life’s great moments. I’ve been lucky to actually make a living this way; which is a surprise to many and most of all to me.
Contributing Writer: I’ve been a contributing writer for Bluff Magazine, PokerNews.com, Woman Poker Player, Canadian Poker Player, and PokerPages, providing insight and commentary on the changing landscape of professional poker. I also have a chapter in the newly released book, Women’s Poker Night. I’m a devout blogoholic and currently blog for both AimelsslyChasingAmy and Calistri’s Corner.
On Air: I currently co-host a weekly internet radio show called Keep Flopping Aces at Hold’em Radio with the talented and prolific poker author, Lou Krieger. For the better part of a year, I had a regular guest spot on Bluff Radio, a syndicated poker radio show aired on Sports Byline USA, Sirius Satellite Radio, and the American Armed Forces Radio Network. I had the on air gig for PokerPages for their streaming video coverage of the 2005 WSOP.Â
Editing: I was Editor-in-Chief at PokerPages (9/05-2/06) and have been a poker manuscript evaluator for Barron’s Publishing; providng poker “expertise,” proofing, editing, and marketing assesments for prospective publications.
Photography: I provided photographs for PokerPages’ tournament coverage. I have also successfully placed photographs with Bluff Magazine and Woman Poker Player.
Public Speaking: I love talking about poker, investing and economics and have been lucky to score a few gigs this way.         Â
