Collusion?
Well, if you’ve watched the two ESPN WSOP episodes last night, we went from 27 to the final 9 players. If you were focused, you also saw Pauly, change100, and my head a couple times. What you also got alot of was one Mr. Jamie Gold and more details of his table chatter.
It’s one thing to talk at the table, but clearly Gold stepped over the line time and again. With players to act, he informed players of his intentions. He absolutely provided Lee Kort with information during the event, wanting Kort to last as long as possible. I witnessed one hand which I don’t recall the details of where Gold raised, Kort min-raised, and Gold folded. After watching these broadcasts, I continue to wonder what was up. Was Gold selectively showing favor to players? Was he working with some of these players? I really cannot say for sure, but it again points out symptoms of the looming problems facing Harrah’s and WSOP heading into next year.
I had a very, very long day yesterday, up at 3:30AM, off to the airport at 4:45, flight to Detroit at 7:00AM, meetings, then back to the Detroit airport by 5:00. I was able to catch an earlier flight and got upgraded to boot on the return, so I was home by 10:00PM.
I can’t stay awake on planes, so I was pretty wired last night. Ended up putting Sweetie to bed around 11:00 last night then heading back downstairs to watch the WSOP while playing some HORSE on PokerStars. I got stuck for the first time in awhile, down almost $200 until my quad 8’s snuck by an Aces over Kings boat, getting four bets in on 7th street in stud. I ended up +$344 for the session, so it’s a nice run. I was particularly proud to fight through after being stuck, as I haven’t done that in awhile.
HORSE is definitely my game of choice now. It has to be the softest of games as most folks are trying to figure out exactly how to play. There aren’t a ton of games, but usually there are several going at a variety of levels. Heading to work now, so have a good day and I’ll see you later.

I was suprised at all the table talk as well. What\’s really interesting is that no one else at the table or the dealers seemed to care.
