Cranking Along
Good morning all. I crashed and burned last night, missing the Mook in what looked like a terrific tourney. Congrats to Iakaris outlasting 23skidoo in a classic. I pretended to pretend to be asleep around 8:00 last night, which means I pulled the comforter over my head, fully clothed, then went to sleep as soon as Sweetie asked me if I was seriously in bed rather than putting the boys to bed. What’s a brotha gonna do?
For those interested in the 2+2 thread on the ESPN coverage of Gold, there you go.  I don’t spend a ton of time on 2+2 regularly, but I do lurk there from time to time. As I’ve interviewed a variety of pros and those trying to make a go of it, most mention either 2+2 as a resource or having a network of other players they rely on to discuss hands and ways to improve. Also, great enterating stuff to read and waste time on, like Post Your Greatest Poker Moment. Also, this Jason Strasser post as a wee baby is a classic.
I have a PokerWorks email address that I barely have used, and it’s getting flooded with Cialis and penny stock offers. Sweetie’s getting pretty fed up with the ramifications of thirty cases of Cialis sitting in our garage…
It’s nice to be plugging along winning some poker here and there. Which means I’m being set up for a big beatdown. It is pretty bizarre. I absolutely can whip into a HORSE game at any time on Stars, feeling significantly good about my chances even with only a few tables going. Much different than I’ve ever felt at poker. All this means that I really don’t understand most of these games very well. I continue to make serious mistakes at Omaha H/L and Stud H/L regarding my starting hands and what I continue with. Many players seem afraid of Razz, which gets my mouth watering as soon as I see it now. Heading to LHE after playing HORSE seems to have brought some life to that game as well.
The DADI will be held tonight on FullTilt, so I’m hoping to get there for that. It’s a beautiful day outside here, autumn right around the bend. I’m meeting Sweetie for lunch and can’t wait. See everyone later, and thanks as always for stopping by.

Thanks for the props Craig! I hope to see you at DADT tonight…it will be my second HORSE tourney, so maybe my ‘luckbox’ powers will trancend.

Luck in the DADI today - I\’m back on the never ending line of job interviews so might be able to sweat you all when I get back.
