Quest of a Closet Poker Player

“I’m going to blog about this” is one of the more ridiculous things someone can say. But there it was, I threw it out after a nice retort from Sweetie yesterday.

Theoretically, one of the major benefits with home officing is something I call Daytime Loving. As implied, it means that you can what might be termed do the deed in the middle of the day. With your spouse. Daytime Loving of course means well-lit happenings, which might frighten most folks off, but it also implies spontaneity. But when Sweetie is standing in the kitchen, doing dishes after the boys’ breakfast, unshowered still at 1:30 in the afternoon, and I give her that look and tell her, “You know what it does to me when you wear those sweatpants,” and she replies, “Go away!” What exactly does she mean by Go Away? Is that code for some hidden message? I just don’t know enough about the inner workings of the female mind to fully understand it.

I’m postponing CC’s Thursday Bash for two weeks to get a nice final push heading into the holidays, as well as to avoid the WPBT next week. More later on this.

Finally, in honor of our newest powerhouse blogger IGGY and in anticipation of next week’s WPBT debauchery, here is a clip of what an interview with IGGY might look like if change100, Linda, katitude, and Amy were hosting The View. I’ve got a couple calls, but I’ll come back to expand more on my thoughts from yesterday.

First call in the books. You can always email me at csquard@gmail.com or give a valiant effort at leaving a comment. I’m announcing a new contest that you might be interested in. I’m looking to bankroll one low-stakes player who is willing to play with my money and try and learn this game. Here’s how it will work.

• Candidates will email me at csquard@gmail with the following information:
• Current bankroll
• How long have you been playing, and what games/stakes/locations do you play?
• How many times have you gone busto?
• Why are you worthy of investment by CC?
• I will review the candidates and select CC’s Partner. All candidates need to email me by 11:00PM Eastern time on 8 December, and I’ll select the winner by 15 December.
• After doing this, we will determine a gameplan which will include depositing at least $100 in an account of our choosing.
• For three months, we will work to maximize the bankroll. We’ll split the winnings 50/50 at the end of three months. Maximizing the bankroll will include what we feel is the best approach to being successful, which includes where, what, and at what stakes to play.
• We’ll keep everyone abreast of how we’re doing on a weekly basis, how both of us are doing.

That just about does it. Make sure and pass along this information to anyone you think would be interested.

And we’ll see you in a couple weeks for the finale to CC’s Thursday Bash, the final two weeks to see who will grab the top prize of $300 added dollars compliments of PokerWorks.
