I got to watch Justin Timberlake host Saturday Night Live this weekend, one of the funniest episodes in recent time. It will be hard to get this song out of your head after watching the video.
It’s a late night for me (almost 3:00 in the morning) as I struggle ftp-ing a whole bunch of files to someone that is working on a client project for me. Painful to say the least. Sweetie was worn out at the end of the day having forgotten how to raise three boys. She thinks The Little Guy is a cutie pie with a buzz cut, but her Mom will be out for blood when she gets here later this week. We’ve worked off most of our TiVo inventory from when she was gone, and I showed her a couple of clips from Saturday Night Live. Justin Timberlake, who I’m fairly indifferent to, is actually superb on the show. Here are a couple of clips, as well as other stuff I’ve scrounged around earlier today.
#(*& In a Box: SNL Digital Short of Justin Timberlake duet; side splitting in this unedited video. “1) Cut a hole in a box. 2) Put your junk in that box. 3) Make her open the box.” WARNING: They say a bad word (well, it’s a bad word for me).
Barry Gibb Talk Show: Jimmy Fallon comes back to reprise his Barry Gibb role with Timberlake playing the role of Andy Gibb (I guess, some Gibb, I’m not sure).
First Barry Gibb Talk Show: First time Timberlake hosted SNL and did this skit (Robin Gibb, not Andy). Not as funny as this Saturday’s.
Go Fug Yourself: Whenever you need a smile on your face, head here.
B-52′s Rock Lobster: I remember watching this when it came on SNL; I thought it was a skit at the time, just bizarre.
Positively Fifth Street Book Review: Rant about McManus the fish, analyzing his WSOP Main Event hands.
Homelessville: Old Timberlake SNL skit as Soup Kitchen character dueling with Salvation Army Santa; not totally funny, but kind of.
Jessica Simpson Surprises a Fan: I didn’t realize she actually had a fan, but this lady says lines like “You are my everything.” Is she the worst warbler in America today? Not sure, but she has to be right up there.
I also finished a wrap of the WPT event at the Bellagio. It would have made a better story if zeejustin had made it to the TV Table, but he busted Monday in 7th. He had a great Five Diamonds, making four final tables. Daniel Negreanu started as the chip leader but went on a brutal run against Jim Hanna, who started Monday 33/33 players, was the short stack heading into the TV table, and ended as runner-up. Negreanu busted out in 3rd, and wow, Joseph Hachem takes 1st. See my report. From Brandi Hawbaker to Joseph Hachem: the opposite ends of the Global Barometer of Class.
Thursday night marks the final CC’s Thursday Bash of the year and the last with free money. Another $75 will be added for the winner and $25 for the cash bubble boy/girl, but the real money will be for the total points winner. Hopefully no one will play Thursday night (9:30PM EST, PokerStars password pokerworks) so that I can keep the extra $300 for first (currently I’m in second, which pays an extra $200 and $100 is paid out for third). Pauly‘s in the lead, and skidoo is tied with kat and blinders in third.
BTW, if you haven’t checked out Blinders counter-point post and all the comments to my Weak-Tight article with Matt Matros, Lucko, and fuel55, check it out. It’s been very, very lively discussion since the article came out, with smokkee giving his take in comments and email traffic. In honor of all you experts out there, I invite you to CC’s Thursday Bash: The Weak/Tight Classic. Enter if you dare.
Have a good Wednesday, and I’ll hopefully hit the sack now!
