Made a bad call against the freeroller, pokerpeaker, and my 9’s were no good against his ladies in CC’s Thursday Bash. As I looked around for somewhere to play, fuel convinced me to join skidoo at a $2/4 NLHE table on PokerStars. And the first hand you ask? A bit of a cooler.

You should be able to count the sessions where you came back from a big slide and survived it.  These times of clawing poker teetering on desperation develop muscle memory that the poker player will call on after tough beats or weeks of unfortunate results.  This was one of those sessions.

I have a new habit of getting to blogger tourneys just after they start.  Last night, it was the MATH with Hoy.  He had gone through a weekend rant regarding FullTilt and downed servers and KGB intrigue, and I wanted to sneak in and play last night.

After a rocky start that had to have all of Vegas and America jumping up and down in front of their plasma screens, the Colts made all right in the sports universe to grab the Super Bowl.  My assumption was that it would come down to the Colts defense vs. the Bears offense, which was a a key to why the Lombardi trophy is headed to Indy.

I’ve just become so frustrated at sucking in NLHE cash games that I’m trying a new approach, switching back to LHE regardless of how tough the table is as well as trying SNG’s for a change of pace.
