sprstoner Wins Sickest Table Award

sprstoner, who I played with at TI last December with lucko, smokkee, and a couple of others, is in the $3k NLH event today.

He had Jeffrey Lisandro in the 8s (he’s in the 6s), but Lisandro busted out. Next, he had Johnny Chan in the 2s, David Sklansky in the 4s, and Dan Alspach in the 8s. Alspach moved all-in over the top of Chan, and Chan called with two black tens. Alspach had two queens, board came A-Q-X-X-10, and now a soft spot at the table is gone. The$3k NLH brought a higher quality field and less riff-raff. Toughest non-blogger table had Ben Roberts (1s), Jeff Madsen (4s), Vanessa Selbst (6s), and Doug Lee (7s).

I’ll update this later with more on sprstoner as well as other stuff here.

UPDATE 6:50PM

sprstoner2.JPG

sprstoner’s been moved to the very back of the Amazon Room next to the rail. He sits in the 9s with Andy Bloch in the 10s. He has 14k or so, not great but at least not a complete donk like Phil Gordon.

“You’ve raised seven times in a row,” said Gordon, with Jamie Gold in the 10s looking on at the 2s, who called with Ad-Jd. Gordon turns over Ks-3h with his 3.4k in chips in front of him. He stands s the 3 hits the flop, then the king hits the river. “That’s what I’m talking about!” yelled Gordon. “You raised seven times in a row.” The response from the 2s: “Don’t try to hide your horrible play, that’s fine.” The 2s is now down to 40k or so.

UPDATE 9:55PM

sprstoner has made it through the dinner break, but he’s short.  I think he’s sitting on about 9k or so.  Let’s hope he can crank away through the night.
