In case you missed it, I knocked out an interview with Tony G this weekend.
Tony G had some interesting things to say about the WSOP, as well as his life story coming from Lithuania as part of the Soviet Union is interesting.
sprstoner made it through Day 2 with chips as they’re down to 81 players now. He cycled through all the fancy pros yesterday including Johnny Chan and Andy Bloch. Now he gets Taylor “Green Plastic” Caby and Greg Mueller at his table. Mueller is playing particularly well right now.
I played a bit on Stars late after donking off $130 at $4/8 LHE at the Rio. I gave CarmenSinCity $100 to play there and write an article, which maybe wasn’t a great investment. It was nice to have TPTK and have a guy say, “Let me get lucky,” before the river card was dealt. Yes, the 4c hit the board, and he flipped over 9-4 that he’d been squeezing hard on a board of K-9-3-7-4. The faith of LHE…
So when I logged into Stars, I saw the message that the MegaSatellite for ME seats had gone off, so I headed to PokerStars Blog to check it out. That’s when I saw that this guy took a seat:
fuel55 took down a seat in the Main Event, one of the 220+ folks who grabbed a seat yesterday. Just terrific! Technically, I assume he won $10k plus some more, so I’m not sure if he’s planning just to hang with it and do the ME or do some other large buy-in events.
I’m heading out now to get Mean Gene. More from the Rio later.
So cool.
