Getting Hugs from Liz Lieu
“I think your article was just wonderful,” said Liz after pulling a chair next to me and giving me a hug.
“I forwarded it to a dear friend who I call Mom, she’s like a second mother to me. And she cried.” It is pretty special and rewarding to have Liz Lieu say that to me, especially as she’s had many, many writers interview her or cover her in the last couple years. I need to take the time to do more of these articles regardless of the amount of time it takes to do them.
It’s a complete zoo as there are hundreds of alternates out there. Shannon Elizabeth flopped a set on a 6-J-A, with the ace on the turn giving the other guy with A-J a better boat. Some quick photos from the massive field.

I believe this would be a coffee spill. It is two seconds later that the Floor guy on the right strikes the floor guy in the center, causing blood to spurt on the table from his hand.
A nice lady.

I don’t know his name, but I think he won a WPT tourney.
So the question is, do you play in a $1.5k as an alternate? I don’t think I would myself, but what do you think?
UPDATEÂ 3:15PM
3,151 players today in the $1.5k NLH, a new record of an extra 153 players over Event #3. I guess poker isn’t really dead in America.
