UPDATE: Down to Twenty Seven
We’ve lost eight players in the first level and another shortly into the second level, so three tables have been redrawn.
John Armbrust chipped up quickly and sits solidly in the last twenty-seven, eleventh in chips. ESPN approached him for an interview that they want to put on www.espn.com. “You’re the Kid That Can’t Be Killed,” said the ESPN rep. Pretty, pretty sweet stuff. More later.
UPDATE: 5:50PM
John and Scott “SCTrojans” Freeman battled at their first table before their table broke. Freeman had a target on John’s chest after he three-bet Freeman out of a pot. He returned to the 9s of John’s new table, and they got into a battle of the blinds. Freeman made it 325k, John made it 1.0m (I guess; it was a big stack of 50k chips), all-in/call came next. John’s AK was golden on the board of As-Kh-3h-Qc-6c, and he’s up to 10m as he busted Freeman with his pocket tens. “I’m living the dream,” he said, and we’re just along for the ride.
