My Own Bed

Forty-nine days.  Seven weeks.  Incredibly, I was back in my own bed with Sweetie last night.

I somehow stayed awake long enough at the airport to multi-table on PokerStars while trying to make my flight.  I got there three hours early as MeanGene  had an earlier flight.  If he’d fallen asleep, we both would still be in our Vegas house.  I upgraded on AirTran and fell asleep as soon as I boarded the plane.  I’m sure we took off and landed, but I couldn’t tell you about any of it.  btw:  MeanGene, very great guy.  Our other roommate Dan:  very good guy, but I’m not exactly sure as he may or may not have lived with us.

Car service greeted me when I got off the plane, and an hour later we had my luggage and were on the way to Suburbia in the ATL.  Sweetie was there, and it was so nice to be back home amidst the SUV’s and lacrosse sticks.  And Sweetie, what a lady to have waiting for me.  Three boys and a bird dog woke me up this morning.  No gifts for the old guys, but I brought back two rubber ducks and two teddy bear figurines from Shanghai for The Little Guy.

Now I’m back in the pit, getting ready to get ready for a day of work.  I’ve got several interviews to complete from the WSOP as well as more contacts to do interview later.

Riveting stuff, I know, but I’ll have a mega-post about everything WSOP when I get my feet under me.

Wow – it must be exciting to be home!! I’m sure you don’t want to tear yourself away from the wife and kids. It was great meeting you and I enjoyed following your coverage.

Get some rest and enjoy the kids.

Nice work, CC. Great job. My girls thank you for allowing me to help in the smallest way possible. Now sleep and play something with your kids.
