Pathetic Reporting at CardPlayer

I’d held off even mentioning anything about this until I received an email upon my return from the Labor Day Weekend.

Here is the link to the CardPlayer article about the EPT event in Barcelona.  Here is the quote from the article:   “Rumours surfaced in the later levels that Liz Lieu  exited the tournament area in tears after a verbal altercation with a player. They remain unsubstantiated to date but what can be substantiated is that her stack was blinded away and she will not be returning for day 2.”  PokerNews noted the incident this way in their live blogging:  “Liz Lieu Leaves Tournament:  Liz Lieu had a personal family emergency to attend to and had to quickly leave the tournament. She had about 10,000 chips in play when she left. No word on whether she will return today or tomorow. Our best wishes go out to Liz and her family.”

A clash with a player or a personal family emergency?  Well, I think your father passing away would count as the latter.  Despicable, lazy work by CardPlayer, lines in an article that simply give Liz another thing to have to explain and deal with over the coming months.   Liz’s MySpace is probably the best way to offer your sympathies to her.  She’s a wonderful lady, and these will be difficult times for her.

That’s so sad. I remember your interview with her and she talked about her family and how special they are. Poor thing. Cardplayer is stupid.

Thanks for the camera information. I think I’ll probably end up buying it from bizrate.com Why not? It’s like $70 cheaper that way.
