annette_15 Crashes the WSOP Europe
Annette “annette_15″ Obrestad has hounded the online MTT world for the last year or so, quickly becoming one of the dominant players at big tourneys and small alike. At the tender age of eighteen, she’s become the latest woman to take home a WSOP bracelet and now the youngest bracelet winner in the history of the World Series.
She joins Jeff “yellowsub” Williams, winner of the 2006 EPT Monte Carlo, in the ranks of the under-twenty millionaires (a million pounds is a bit more than his prize). sprstoner fawned over her, and I’d followed her since he told me about her. She’s had big six-figure scores, but what impressed me is just how prolific she has been, regularly playing small buy-in events as well as the relatively larger $100+ events. She has an absolutely fearless aggression while also being able to change gears and tighten up, and it’s a game that bested the likes of Patrik Antonius and Gus Hansen this weekend. I’m not sure if it was exactly the kind of champion Harrah’s was looking for, but you can find no better poster child of what poker is now than annette_15.

I’ve been following her for a while now. Have just caught up with her again on her blog.
