Caesar’s
I’ve never stayed at Caesar’s Palace before, but my sweet mini-suite is a great way to start.
My parents visited this past weekend, and after another big down session on Stars Sunday evening (-$850 including aces cracked twice and kings vs aces once), I stayed away from the tables. We had a great visit, with all three boys spending really quality time with each of my parents. It is something that has to be forced sometimes (meaning we have to find something specific to do), but the boys really had a great time. The Big Guy and I took on my parents in a Gin challenge (HU games where we switched our opponent a couple of times during the session). The Big Guy finished in a flurry, blistering my Mom then switching to my Dad to finish him off.
They also cooked for the weekend for the third time. This has been a highlight of our week to see what The Big Guy and All-In are going to make each Sunday evening. This week, it was Black Bean Chili and Fudge for dessert.
I’m here in Vegas until Thursday evening. Great meetings today (although I almost missed my connection, and my luggage hasn’t made it here yet). Caesar’s is having a big tourney this week. LHE event tomorrow, and I doubt I’ll play in that. I’ll probably play some cash games tonight, hopefully connect with some friends while I’m in town.
