Somewhere in the midst of another premium hand getting outdrawn for the seventeenth time, I headed away from my comfort zone and sat with the big boys: $5/10 NLHE on PokerStars.
The first month of my PokerStars challenge had me in a $700 hole heading into the last two days of the month. I’d closed it to -$150 by Sunday when I hopped down to the pit to grind away.
Thanks to everyone who has emailed me or left comments regarding my big losing session. I’ve come up with a new gameplan which hopefully will strengthen my poker pursuits in the coming months.
It is like seeing the fourth sequel when they never should have made the first. I played until 2:30 or so this morning, dropping $600 with almost all of it at a $5/10 LHE table.

OK, so grinding your bankroll back means playing what you can, this time four-tabling $0.25/0.50 NLHE and PLHE as those were the only games in town. What do you find there?
I’m back trying to grind away with my bankroll, working to build it back from the abyss. And Pot Limit Holdem has been a nice change of pace for me.
Rapid fire style, here is a torrent of stuff before I head away probably for the week.
