All-Star Night on Full Tilt (complete with gratuitous screenshots)

I hopped on to Full Tilt last night to play a couple of SNGs and grabbed a seat in a $1-2 O8 game as well. About 15 minutes into my session, this guy decided to pay the low-limit crowd a visit.

Seidel was running some sort of experiment where he was discovering how many tables he could play at once and was starting with five simultaneous O8 games. I know five is too many for me and the same seemed to be true of Seidel, who kept timing out of hands during his hour-long run.

At about the time that I finished up my two-table SNG (in 2nd place, weeeeee) I jumped into an open seat at a $1-2 H.O.R.S.E. table featuring heinous cowboy hat afficionado Andy Bloch. He was playing a couple of low limit tables while his fiance played in a MTT.

Here’s me picking up a good razz hand and isolating Andy on third street. (He caught bad on fourth and let it go).

Aren’t screen shots like that one the online poker equivalent of those pictures tourists in Vegas try to grab with poker pros? (Hey I’m just as guilty and have a snap of me and dreamy Phil Gordon to prove it).

While we were donking around at H.O.R.S.E., an online version of the Bellagio’s “Big Game” was playing out on the $1K-$2K tables. New mom Jennifer Harman (she and husband Marco Traniello recently welcomed twin sons, delivered via surrogate due to Jennifer’s kidney problems) was making a relatively rare appearance online, and was sitting in a shorthanded stud 8 game with a cast that included three of the great Davids of poker: Singer, Oppenheim, and Benyamine. A $1K-$2K H.O.R.S.E. was also running, featuring Harman, Oppenheim, Benyamine, John D’Agostino, “CrazyZachary”, and a player rumored to be Eli Elezra. Harman looked to be stuck about $40K in the H.O.R.S.E., but up over $70K at the stud 8, where her session ended in a lengthy heads-up match with Singer. Two poker virtuosos going at it.

After our Valentines Day plans were foiled by the snowstorm, Pauly is finally on a plane that is actually in the air and flying west right now and scheduled to land in Burbank around 12:30 this afternoon after being delayed 2 1/2 hours out of JFK. I think his mega-travel tilt and persistent head cold might abate once he steps out into the 80 degree heat we’re enjoying today. Yep, this is the part of the post where you all start to hate me…so I’d better get out of here and start driving to the valley ;)

    Let’s see….

You guys don’t have any change of seasons, get sick when the temperature drops below 55, will never have a white Christmas, can’t make snowmen, snow angels, or have a snowball fight, and will never enjoy a warm snuggle in a blanket in front of a fireplace with a loved one while drinking hot chocolate.

Remind me why I should hate you again? =)

I was expecting you to be sitting next to Jennifer Harman when I opened up the last screen shot…

Seidel gets props from me for his O8 play (based on a few ring games and tourneys playing against him). Then again he probably gets props from 99.99% of the poker playing world.
