Offered With (Little) Commentary
Remember a few weeks ago when I was told that the WSOP payout schedules were made relative to the amount of the event’s buy-in?
Event # 46 $1,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo. 668 entries, 64 places paid. (9.6% of field)
Event # 51 $1,000 S.H.O.E. 730 entrants, 72 places paid. (9.86% of field)
Event # 17 $1,000 Ladies No-Limit Hold’em. 1286 entrants, 99 places paid (7.7% of the field).
STILL, no one at Harrah’s can explain to me why this is…

Ummm, ewwwwwwwww!
That’s just wrong.
Then again, everything about the Ladies event reeks of something not quite right.
I for one am totally offended at the whole Swan makeover business - and, no, I’m not a lesbian.

Harrah’s can’t explain it because they have none. The ladies event sounds like a joke because that’s how they’ve approached it. Unless they stop thinking of it as an event to keep the wives/girlfriends of the “real” players entertained, it’ll never be given the consideration they give the other WSOP events.
Out of curiosity - what was the payout structure in the Senior’s event (if there was one this year?).

i hope you can get an answer from harrah’s, b/c they should be treating this question seriously and giving you and the rest of pokerworks’ readers the response it deserves.
