Big Score!

I’ve played two other free roll tourneys, one with Glenda night before last where we both stayed up until the cows come home - 7 card stud that paid the top 88 players a free roll seat into another tourney with $2K in prizes at stake.  She was slamming them while I was clawing to even stay in the game.  I busted out in 110th place, no cards forever, limit was 1K-2K, ante was (I think) $300 and the bring-in was 700.  I had very few chips through most of the tournament and got a few big hands busted - like trip 10’s in four cards - 10’s up in four cards where my opponent had no draw no pair and caught a pair of Aces on fifth street and made trip Aces on seventh street.  He even checked it to me…poor kid didn’t know that if he wants it bet, he’ll have to do it himself.  Here’s wishing Glenda great cards and happy Card Fairy blessings when she plays on Sunday.  The other free roll I busted out pretty early - NLH.

It’s a creepy cold, ultra windy, early a.m. in Vegas and I decided to jump into a 1c-2c NLH game on PokerStars with my whopping big bankrolllinda_1_1.jpg of $3.30.  I held 30c in reserve and bought in for $3.  Got unbelievably lucky the first hand.  I posted right behind the button, 10-10, it was raised to 6c in front of me, I called, the button made it 24c, the original raiser and I called.  Flop brought 10-9-9.  Check, check, the button bet 18c or something like that.  Call, call, and the turn brought a 7.  Check, check, the button went all in and had me covered.  The original raiser folded, obviously a call on my part.  I started off winner. Messed around with one other hand where I picked up 10-10 again and the blind player flopped a set of 3’s and forgot to bet every time.  I failed to bet for him on the river and the pot only cost me about 50c total.

The player that gave me all of his chips in the first hand, decided to go all in again for around $1.17 or so and I was already in action with the A-J  spades.  I called and turned a jack.  I won that hand…$6.70 in chips at that table.  I quit with a $3.70 win.  Total bankroll $7.00

You’re too kind, Ken. Since you suggested the drink, you drink it. I’ll stick with water. :-)
