Bouncing around
I’ve played a few tournaments, obviously haven’t managed anything stellar, one of them I didn’t make it past the first round of blinds. I just got S-U-C-K-E-D out on in two big hands and then blew off my final chips in a Last Act of Defiance move. It was NLH and I was out in a heartbeat or one long gasp of air, however you want to look at it. It’s obvious that some of these people play pretty damn well, even though it’s a free roll, you still find some pretty decent players. Impressive.
I’ve flipped in and out of micro limit 7 card stud 8 or better and Omaha 8 or better. I made a K high straight flush on the flop and got paid in two places, one of them got in the last raise on me, on the river. Sweet! My BR has dropped. I’m at 6.27 right now. Glenda is pushing and I’m sure she’ll overtake me tonight. She’s in a micro limit 7 stud 8 or better game and I’m flipping through the insanity of a NLH free roll to get into another free roll.
I played in a RAZZ free roll earlier. I do believe, still to this day, that Razz players eat their dead. I may be one of them but I can’t remember finding a Razz player that stood still long enough to be eaten by anyone. And the way these kids were throwing chips in the pot, there was no dust settling anywhere around them. This is the first hand that was dealt:

I almost typed in the chat, “Is this high or low.” Of course I didn’t. I also didn’t win the hand. I caught a 10 next card and pair and so on and
on…but they didn’t catch good either and every raise went in on every street. I started with a wheel draw shortly after that again and caught a K on fourth, I pitched on fifth. I caught a King so many times out - as my fourth card - but I managed to limp somewhere into the $80-160 round but then got knocked out. Brutal game.
It’s an eye opener though. I’ve dealt this game a million times or so. I played it a lot in Montana years ago, $15-30 stakes. I know how the game is supposed to be played, I just don’t know if I have the fortitude to watch a K raise and a pair reraise and get there every time…oh well…perhaps another day.
