Crawling through the maze
My fellow compadrette and competition is out of the competition right now…Glenda the Good Witch is involved in the health and welfare of her husband and here’s wishing and hoping that it all turns out well. Hurry back - I miss you already.
I admit to playing a few more tournaments and doing zippo in them. It’s hard to wade through some of these fields. And then I managed to bad play off a lot of my chips in an Omaha 8 or Better tournament when I had A-A-K-3, and then picked up A-A again and flopped top set and paid off when a flush came on the river. *slaps self*
I played in a HORSE freeroll and never had a chance, they were ramming and jamming the chips in on everything, on every street in the razz, stud, and eight or better. It’s unreal to watch people raising with two paint showing in five cards in razz. I wish they’d distribute those drugs evenly around the playing field.
I just got knocked out of a NLH freeroll - The blinds were $10-20, I raised it $200 more, and five players called around to Rat101 in the 6s. He went all-in, I shoved…why not? A-A is always good for a laugh, right? When the 2nd person called, I knew I could never win the pot.

I was right. The 3s had Q-Q and turned a set of Queens, the 4s had A-K and flopped a King and rivered a King for trips. I didn’t have time to see some of the other hands, but I believe one of them was 10-7 Off, and I’m sure I had the only pair pre-flop. Incredible action, six of us all-in. Bye-Bye tournament! I was out the door in 9113th place out of 12000 players. Aces are a strange hand at times. With that many people coming in, I’d have felt better with J-10 suited or 9-10 suited.
There’s another freeroll ahead and I’m already signed up.
I’ve played some of the 2c-4c Omaha eight or better games - and a few of the 4c-8c 7 stud eight or better games, won a few cents and lost a few
cents. I took one hit on my bankroll for about 40c at one point playing NLH. Now I’ve pretty much focused on the NLH when I play live - 1c-2c - and my bankroll stands at $8.44. I’m damned proud of that.
I may be crawling but I’m still ‘Chasing Chris’ and it’s fun!
