My Poor Pitiful Bankroll

is w-a-a-a-y down.  I don’t know if the war has been tough on me or if I’ve been tough on the war.  I’ve kicked through more than one tournament struggle, two of them in the $11 price range - and one of them was a re-buy tournament (didn’t know it until I’d sat in the game, but I didn’t take the re-buy).  Most of my buy-ins have been in micro limit instead of low limit on Poker Stars.

In a NLH $1+10c with 2494 players, I made it to 289th place and won  $2.24 for my efforts.  I can’t even remember the hand I exited on.

Another NLH - $2.60+25c, with 4063 players, I made it to 518th place and pocketed $4.06.  I was a bit disappointed with this tournament.  Within the first two orbits, I picked up A-A and two players stacked off in front of me. What to do?  What to do?  Oh…my…what shall I do?  (hahahahaha)  One had Q-Q and one had J-J and Aces held up.  That wasn’t the disappointing part, the part that hurt a bit was I barely picked up a hand that I would even want to look at the flop from the blind after that.  I went totally card dead - fold - fold - fold and finally busted out.  Luckily the one big pot I won was a coaster, I just pitched after that to make it as far as I did.

I played a 7 card stud  $3+30c and managed to never win a hand, I don’t think anyway, it was a lot of pitching because my cards were everywhere on the board.  The hand that beat me out, still mystifies me that someone would even play it, especially for a raise.  The limit was $200-400 - the ante was $40, the bring-in was $60.

I had  1,684 in chips and the vilian had 2,554.  I started with Qs-Jh-Qd.  The vilian called the $60 bring-in with 6d-10c-8s.  I raised it to $200 and he called $140 more.  My next card was 9c, his was 7d.  I bet $200 and he called.  On fifth street, I caught the Jd and he caught just like he was supposed to - the 9h to give him a 10 high straight.  I bet $400 - he raised $400 - I called.  On 6th I caught the 4c and he caught 2s.  I checked, he bet $400, I called.  No help for me on the river with the 5s - he caught 3s.  I checked, he bet $400 and I called my last $44.  I was out.

I managed to place 40th in a 333 field of LH, $4+40c and won $7.32.  Nothing exotically bizarre in this tournament, I just pitched.  linda_1_1.jpg

I played three other NLH tourneys, micro buy-ins, and went out with A-K each time.  I had the perfect flop for those hands, and made a hand, but twice I ran into A-A.  The other time it was A-J and he made two pair.

My biggest bankroll punisher has been the micro limit live games.  At this rate I will be back  to playing a free roll to try and start over again.  My BR stands at $31.03.  Moral of this story is, never piss off the Card Fairy.

And I’m jamming in another micro limit tourney right now…g’nite Card Fairy, sleep well you little bitch!
