Whining my ass off
The only really good thing about this game play was that yestbay1 stepped into the chat and said hello to me. thank you, sir! I’m fried. Turn on the fire, turn up the fan, throw some lighter fluid on me, and don’t pray for rain. I know it’s poker…dumb butt…that’s why I’m here I still hate this when it happens.
The first thing that went wrong is I didn’t read the handy dandy tournament description before I clicked on register. I thought it was just the Omaha hi/lo limit that I’d played before…so much for sleeping through registering. When the game started I was in a four handed max, Omaha 8 or better pot limit game on PokerStars. At least I knew I was on PokerStars. That’s the good news because I have some $$ in my account - starting from -0- to $$…Nice.
I went on a slight heater and picked up some chips, the blinds were going up way too fast to suit me and the time bank is only 30 seconds instead of 60. OK…I’m paying attention. My chips dipped dangerously low and then I forced a win by putting all my chips in with AH-JH- and a bad low, and carved a slice out of the pot for myself and was back in action. I just got my chips built back up and had close to the same amount of chips as the guy I tangled with. This is how the hand came down.
I was the BB - posting 400 - and had 9267 in chips. pacmanaz raised 1400 to make it 1800 total (he had 10152 in chips). I raied 4200 more to make it 6000 total with As-Jc-2d-Ah. pacmanaz called.
The flop was 3s-5d-9d
I bet 2000 - pacmanaz raised it to 4000 - I raised it 1267 more all-in. The turn brought the 10s. The wonderful fucking, moth eaten, piece of carp, crap filled bladder of hog guts RIVER brought the 2s. pacmanaz showed Ac-2c-Kc-3d and won a 19134 pot and I was out.
Just out of the money, just out of luck, and just out of patience. I had very few ways to lose that hand, a 3 or 2 or a K.
I went out in 97th place. 626 players and the money hit at 76th place.
OK, so I’ll just play another tournament later on. pacmanaz, I hate you!
