Chasing Chris Ferguson

And it fits right into the run of cards I’m having and my attitude about it.  I can start with A-2-4-6 in stud 8 and catch a 2, then a 6, and then a 10 ball just to make it all ugly…and the way my opponent’s boards read, I might win with two pair…NOT!  The $1 buy-in tourney where you never make a hand.  *heavy sigh*

Moving right along to the $10 +1 NLH - all on PokerStars, of course -  I sat card dead for three weeks, stealing a chip now and then and made through a few thousand players, but not enough to make it to the rebate list.  When I was desperately low on chips - 1995 - and the blinds were 100-200, I picked up two girls and raised it to $800…ended up all-in preflop and ran into A-A.

I thought I’d try the tournament that started my BR, the $4 +40c LH.  I made it to the $400-800 blind level (finger nails in the wall) and watched FLUSH_KING57 stack pot after pot after pot.  When I had 3542 left in my stack, I picked up 10-10 on the button.  Not to worry, FLUSH had already paid the $400 entry fee UTG - he had 30965 in chips and no price was to high to play the game.  And brother don’t think I don’t want to run into him again in another tournament…Sweet Baby!

I raised $400 with my 10d-10c.  FLUSH probably had an orgasm as he called with 3d-5h.  Two other players called.

The flop was really great for FLUSH -  7h As 2h - WTF?

He bet right out - BOOM $400 hit the felt.   The other two players folded, I raised. FLUSH called.

The turn brought the 6h.  WOW!  FLUSH has all kinds of possibilities now.  You dream it, it will come…he still needs a 4 for a straight, he can’t pair and win, he has no flush draw, but his imagination has already built this hand.

FLUSH checked the turn, so did I.

The River brought a 4s.  FLUSH bet $800, I called.  Take it Dimwad FLUSH.

I rarely comment when I get a hand beat, but I couldn’t help myself.  This is the chat:

A few hands later I picked up A-10 and chunked my last 742 in defiance at the fucking Card Fairy.  I got called by J-8 off (naw…it wasn’t FLUSH) and they hit two pair on the flop.  I was out, talking to myself…more like looking for salt to throw over my shoulder and lighting incense around the coach like a mad woman…not mad as in angry.  U Can’t Touch This!
