Razz with a NLH chaser

I have been so busy lately that I haven’t had time to play poker. Really, Really! I believe yesterday was the first time I’ve logged into PokerStars to dip my toes in the fish filled shark infested waters in a span of four days. Withdrawal and severe feeling sorry for me set in.

The solution was to try to play last night while I was busy doing projects on the computer. I played a $1-2 7 card stud 8 live game and picked up $24 big bucks, and then invested $3 + 30c in a NLH tourney a bit later and busted out in the first level when I picked Q-Q and tried to run over K-K. I raised it to $100 - 10/20 limit - and he raised me to $250 (I believe). As I waited for everyone else to act, I was twitching between ‘call’ - ‘all-in’ - ‘call’ - ‘all-in’ and when everyone else folded, I pushed. He won, I was out and done for the night as I still had too much to do.

Today was another verse of the same song, a lot to do but things have settled a little bit so I jumped into a $1linda_1_1.jpg +10c Razz tourney. The first hand out I watched the Q (high card opener) open for $10 (the max bet limit), a low card call $10 and another Queen showing called $10 also. Welcome to Razz, Ladies and Gentlemen, may the best low hand win!

I’m still in the game, having done nothing but high card in and steal one round of ante/bring-in. Just watching the flood of pairs and high cards roll on by.

I also signed up for a NLH tourney $2 + 20c. I have one hand tucked safely under my belt. A-K Hearts with 8-8-10 and two hearts, and a player with 4-4 went all-in for around $800. I called and snagged an Ace. It works for me, they do it to me all the time. Then, as if by magic, I picked up A-A, raised it to $100 got reraised, one person going all-in, two other callers, I went all-in. One player folded. A pair of 10’s caught one of their two card outs and I still have chips.

Amazingly, I have caught a pair in my three starting cards in Razz almost every hand. I’ve had two pair since the NLH game started.

Results later, game time is on.
