Bumped and Bounced
Wednesday, April 30th, 2008I just barely managed to get into the Poker Stars 8:05 p.m. WSOP Round 1 Qualifier and got off to a good start. (more…)

This is funny, but not. Saturday night I played in $2 NLH Tourney on PokerStars. It was the usual donkfest and I was sorely lacking for playable hands. Then this hand comes down which turned out to be real weird.
I logged into Full Tilt Poker Thursday night and caught the US player Freeroll at 9:05 p.m. The new playing guide system was going OK. I caught pocket Kings and Tens and Sixes and Nines and was riding high for a good while. (more…)
That is what I have been doing for the last few days…foraging for a good game. The good games are sporatic, and the worst time for good games seems to be on weekends. I guess people have more important things to do than playing poker….I can’t imagine!
Got into the Ultimate Bet 4:35 p.m. HE Freeroll and continued to adhere to the “rules” according to my new hand playing guide. (more…)
I took the time to do some research on proper hand play for HE and then created a spreadsheet of hands based on different types of play from Tight to down right Betting Your Head. Doesn’t happen like that very often. There were 392 players - it a $1.10 and I picked up $35.83. Damn happy to do that! (more…)
That is me…a total Donkette in Hold’em tournaments. If I place at all I can’t get past barely making the money. I just accept the fact I have no clue, if I ever win one it will be pure luck. I will need a horseshoe bigger than Texas to come into any real money.
is a term we used to use for sliding backward at a rapid rate when we had a game beat and then hit a rush of cards that sent our chip stacks on a death spiral. I’m not really there, but kinda sorta. Since I am playing mainly tournaments and not a lot of live, I’ve set a course for myself that may not be as easy to navigate as I would like but it is what it is. (more…)
I registered for two Ultimate Bet Freerolls yesterday afternoon. One began at 3:35 p.m. and the other at 5:35 p.m. In both tourneys, I started out well and then once again stopped getting any playable hands or getting mediocre ones that allowed me see the Flop before having to fold and wait some more.
