The Chip Fairy, The Card Gremlin and My Internet Connection

After spending some time on my big “paint the house” project, I got myself registered for the Ultimate Bet 9:35 p.m. HE Freeroll and the Poker Stars 9:42 p.m. Stud Freeroll. The Chip Fairy was on my side and my chip stacks in both tourneys were growing nicely. The Card Gremlin did get after me one good time when I caught a pocket pair of Qs and bet 3X blinds. I had only one caller and the flop came as 10,8,4. No help there but I figured it was not any help for him either so I went 3X blinds again. The Turn was a J and when I bet 4X blinds, he raised me. Now I was thinking, maybe two pair for him or possibly trips. I figured I would give one call to see what was up and then when the River was another J, he went all in and I folded. He showed a pocket pair of jacks so folding was my best decision on that one (and only one bet too late, at that).

All in all, I was really doing well and thought I might actually place if not win at least one of these tourneys. And then, my Internet service went down………and stayed down……….and did not come back up!!!!! All there was to do was go to bed since it was already midnight anyway. Needless to say, I had no cool messages in my email this morning from either playing site! $Maxiecat$
