If I Can’t Win A Battle, How Will I Ever Win The War?
After reading the last blogs from both Linda and Glenda, I am depressingly reminded that I have gone nowhere so far on this project! In fact, my finishing percentages have dropped instead of increasing. I believe that Linda is correct about becoming tainted by scores of bad beats but I am telling you that it does not take years to feel butt whipped, only months!
I managed to get into a Full Tilt HE Freeroll last night and I was sooooo patient. I only caught a couple of decent hands and played them as well as I could. I was not in a group of high rollers at the time, so the chip winnings were not great for those hands.
There were a little over 2,000 players left out of 5,000 when things went from bad to worse and although I put myself in with a few pocket pairs less than 10, they never panned out and I had to fold every time as the new additions to the table jacked up the pots. (Such is always the case when THEY have the hand and not me)!
I was dealt an A,3 of hearts and decided to have a look at the Flop, and lo and behold, I caught a flush. The Flop was a 4h, 5h, Jh. Almost a straight flush for me at that! I bet 4X blinds and was called by one player who had at least triple the amount of my chips. The Turn came as a 4C and I just went for it and called All-In and my opponent called me. The River was a 4D and my opponent turned up a pocket pair of Queens and trampled all over my Flush with his Full House.
I wonder if he would have stayed in with me if I had gone for it on the flop. He had no hearts in his hand. However, he had to see that I had a possible Flush on the Flop to his one pair and he did not back down, so maybe not. Down and Out again! $Maxiecat$

And don’t forget, he had over pair to the flop. You are just in a bad run, girl. It will change. Don’t give up.

You haven’t read my posts about not being able to win a NLH tourney? I know exactly what you are going through, and if I was starting out today, I would be right there with you, still trying to get something in my BR! You haven’t hit a roll yet, but you will, when things finally go right. I have the utmost admiration for you…because you never give up! Good girl…. you are an inspiration!
