Trudging On
I registered for two Ultimate Bet Freerolls yesterday afternoon. One began at 3:35 p.m. and the other at 5:35 p.m. In both tourneys, I started out well and then once again stopped getting any playable hands or getting mediocre ones that allowed me see the Flop before having to fold and wait some more.
In the earlier tourney, I caught pocket Aces and bet 3000 of my 9000 chips with blinds of 100/200 and was called by two players. One was well matched with me in chips and the other actually had less chips that I did. The Flop came as A, Q, 6 and now having trips, I went All-In and both players went with me. The Turn was a King and the River was a 4. One player had a 4 card straight but the other had an Ace high straight holding J,10 and that pretty much summed it up for me. I finished #516 of 3550.
In the later tourney, I had a Q,10 of hearts and paid to see the flop with blinds at 150/300 and my chip stack as a little over 10,000. The Flop was a 9,7 of hearts and a 3 of clubs. I called a 300 chip bet with 3 other people and the Turn came as a 5 of hearts so instead of calling the 300 chip bet, I went All-In and had one player go with me. He turned up a K,J of hearts and took my stack away once again. I finished #340 of 5594. All in a day’s work/play or something like that! $Maxiecat$
