Two days - two cashes
I played only one tournament on Monday - 7 stud 8 or better, and managed 3rd place out of it. I did a few of those amazing runners, like started with 10-10-2 (low card bring-in) and then caught runner-runner-runner-runner to make a 6 high straight and hog the pot with 3 way action. WOW! Doesn’t happen like that very often. There were 392 players - it a $1.10 and I picked up $35.83. Damn happy to do that!
Tuesday was a 3 tournament day for me. I got started late as I had a dentist appointment to check the devil’s metal on my front teeth. I jumped in a $3.30 NLH rebuy - and only spent one buy - and was out in a heartbeat. Those tourneys may be tough to get through but the payout is so damn good it’s unreal…around $5K for first. And yes, that’s where I always set my sites…first place.
My next move was a $10+$1 Razz tourney with $1K guaranteed, with 104 players, I finished in 26th place - 10 out of the cash - man there was a helluva lot of paint in that deck and I had a homing device surgically implanted in my seat for it. Glenda and I started at the same table. Our table broke about 20 minutes or so into the tournament and we were shifted off to other places. Truthfully, I prefer that.
I signed up for the same 7 stud 8 or better tourney that I placed in on Monday - and multi-table it while I was playing Razz. I did much better in it, taking 2nd place out of 384 players and collecting
$56.26. I was happy with that. The only thing I really wasn’t happy with was this MO-RON when we hit heads-up.
MCJINX: it would be easier if you just gave me your money
PokerWorks: excuse me?
Dealer: Limits going up: stakes 10000/20000 ante 2000
Honestly, I didn’t know you were supposed to just give your chips to someone, I thought you were supposed to play it out. We battled back and forth for about 10 minutes and he typed in the chat that he was going to bed in 15 minutes. I typed back that I had set the timer. Unfortunately, I didn’t take his chips, he took mine. I’m OK with that. I’ll have more opportunities.

We have a new topic in the forum (Chasing Chris Ferguson, of course) - hopefully you will leave comments for us - but we really want to be able to cuss and discuss and hands, bankrolls, good and bad plays, any thing you want to throw at us, and we’d like to hear about your poker progress too. Join us in the forum, please.
My BR is at $595 and I keep thinking how much fun it will be to win one of those super tournaments on PokerStars that cost almost nothing to enter. *$ signs for eyes*
