The Big One That Got Away
Got into the Ultimate Bet 4:35 p.m. HE Freeroll and continued to adhere to the “rules” according to my new hand playing guide. I actually got somewhere this time and built my chip stack nicely. I am, of course, learning with this new hand playing guide but it may just pay off yet. After a couple hours of play, I had a stack of 23,050 which was not average for the tourney but OK with me according to some of my past stacks at this point and I was holding my own.
I caught a pair of Aces and got into some really heavy betting and ended up with the pot and 70,000 chips for my efforts. Then I got moved to a table where other than one player, I was definitely the poor person. The player next to me had over 254,000 chips and was bullying every so I sat as I had no hands to play anyway.
The tourney was at the point where where were 94 players left and I had about 50,000 chips . Then I was BB with blinds of 1000/2000 and antes of 200. My stack was goin’ down fast against all these rich stack players. I had a K,J of clubs and stayed. No one raised and the flop gave me a 4 card Flush draw and a King as the highest card for at least the best pair.
Mr. 254,000 chips, who now had over 300,000 chips, bet enough to call me All-In or out so I went for it. The Turn was a 4 of diamonds or some such as I just don’t remember and then the River was an Ace but not of clubs. My opponent turned up an A,6 (unsuited with no help from the table) and took me out with a pair of Aces. The only good news is that I did finish 90 of 5000 which may point to good things from my new hand playing guide. It still remains to be seen. $Maxiecat$

Just a thought…
You are playing on UB. We know how well it is going.
Why not try a different site? When things are ‘challanging’ — and that happens to all of us — a site change can give us a fresh outlook.

I am playing on UB, FT and PS. I just get in where I can when I have a chance to play. I am not really doing any better or worse on any of them but thanks for the suggestion.
