Still Hanging In
The last seven days have been hell but I am still here. I took a new medication for my newly found out high blood pressure problem and the cure turned out to be far worse that the disease! One pill turned my world upside down for 5 days and the last two I have spent debating on whether or not to try the next “new pill” I have been prescribed!
Getting back to poker, I got myself into another one of those Million Dollar Giveaway Freerolls on Poker Stars at 5:05 p.m. yesterday. I had several good takes including trip Kings that got me 7000 chips in one shot against two opponents who took the bait on my All-In bet. Life was good for a while.
I went hungry for quite a while and watched the chip stack begin to dwindle away quickly in this turbo tourney. The blinds go up quickly in these things. There were 3846 players in the tourney and all but 380 were gone the last time I checked. Blinds were at 1200/2400 when I caught and AJ of clubs on the button. Only two callers were in the game and I called too.Â
BB and SM folded and the flop came as 10,5 of clubs with a 3 of diamonds to complete it. Position 1 called All-In and after a bit of consideration I went for it. I had about 8000 chips and he had around 12000. The turn was a 7 of spades and the River was a Queen of diamonds. My opponent actually took me out with only a pair of threes as he had A,3 unsuited in his hand! I can’t decide if he was chasing a straight or trips but I could not see calling All-In for such a hand as that! At any rate, it worked in his favor and I was out! $Maxiecat$

I’m taking lisinopryl. It is a cheep generic. One of the mail order outfits has it 100 for $12. I got some fatigue/weakness early on but that stabilized. My BP is actually a bit low these days. It is one of the ace inhibitors.

Thanks for the tip. I will keep it in mind as I deal with this lovely situation!
