The Bad Beat Flu
I’m sick. Mental. Ready to burn all the decks I have at my place just to get revenge for the beats the cards have been laying on me. I still think I know how to play but that’s slipping too…maybe I don’t. I simply cannot win.Â
Pick up A-A at a key point in a tournament and end up with two people all-in, they both have me covered, one has K-J off suit the other has Q-J of clubs. Q-J makes quad queens.
I flop a set of Aces and get beat by a back door straight draw.
I flop a set of 9’s on a board that reads 9-8-7 and go all-in so a pair of Kings can catch a King and win.
Flop a set of deuces in a no raised pot and bet the flop and turn - get raised for the last of my chips on the turn when I really love my hand, and Aces catch an ace on the river.
Pick up K-J of clubs one off the button and the flop is Q-10-9 with one club. One player bet $30 in front of me, I nudged it up to $200 and got two callers. The turn
is an 8 and one player goes all-in for 600, the other goes all in for around 700…obviously I called. The river is a King so I can split the pot three ways with J-3 and J-5.
Love this game. It just goes on and on and on and on. I have no idea how I ever won any money to get out of free roll hell to begin with.
I have played some limited player FPP’s for different PokerStars events and the WSOP tournaments. Tough to beat those as they pay one winner and everyone seems to think it’s a jam fest. Since I can’t win with a set or Aces, what would I jam with? And I’m not even throwing away a winner…ever…I’m just filling a seat at the table right now.
I know all those beats happen all the time. Normally you get a winning session somewhere in between that at least gives you a little breathing room or makes you think you still know how to play the game but it just ain’t happening.  I have a black hole in my head right now about playing poker, so I quit. I’ll be back when I can stand to take another beating…usually takes a day or two.
My BR is pathetically a little over $300.
And Ken, I did play 2 single table SnG’s. I hate them. I won one, went out in 8th place in the other. For the $ invested, I don’t like the payout. A few weeks ago I play 2 MTT SnG’s - they’re a jam fest and I’m not a big fan of them either. You play them, you can ship a report on how well you do at the forum.

Hey there
May be if you focus more or the strategy used I think you will definitely win money and a lot of it. If you think at the back of your head money is going then you will loose out on focus. Just a thought. Might help.
