Not Alone In The Dark
After reading the last couple of blogs from Linda and Glenda, I don’t feel quite as badly about the almost No Win record that I have acquired, yet they DO still have some pretty good Bank Rolls even with all their recent bad luck.I am trying to take Jeff’s advice and stick with building up my play chip points to see how I can fare on a different route but it is still frustrating. I got in yet another Full Tilt Play-chip Tournament $ tourney and instead of improving my usual Three hundred or so finish, I was outed at number 480 this time when I lost AK as SM with blinds of 200/400 and all I had left WAS 400 chips so when I called and lost to trip eights and a table of 7,8,8,3,10 it really stunk! My opponent had A,8.
I find that when I play several tourneys in a night, I can easily go from bad to worse as the frustration builds and I lose all patience with the table I am playing and with myself. Therefore, I have backed off a bit to keep my wits about me.Â
I am still hanging in there but the road looks tough ahead. Time will tell all. $Maxiecat$

It’s definitely not easy when your opponent has to catch a three outer - twice, like the trip 8’s with A-8. Kind of makes you want to bash the Card Fairy in the head.
I also find that when I’m running really bad, I will make a hand - a really decent hand - that will trap me for all of my chips because someone else just gets one that’s a little bit better.
The good thing about poker is that we get to get up start over every time we lose. And that’s how you have to view it, as if you were starting out fresh each time you play.
I think you’ve done very well with your thoughts here, your patience, your reasoning out hands to play from different positions, and your keep working on a new way to approach it attitude.
