Chasing Chris Ferguson

I have no idea what has been wrong but I haven’t felt like playing. I have played maybe 20 minutes the last few days.  Late on Tuesday (or early Wednesday morning) I jumped in a Stud H/L 3/6 game on PokerStars and promptly dumped $50 and quit.  I got in a 2/4 late last night and won back $25 of it and quit.  Nothing has looked good until today…

I have been working so many hours my brain is fried. By the time I take a time-out to play, I am too tired to even pay attention, must less do I feel like playing. I couldn’t be a pro, I would hate feeling like I “have to play” to grind out a few dollars to crack my nut.  Been there, done that, not fun.

As I write this I am in a 2/4 Stud H/L game and Linda is in it too. We rarely play at the same table, only in cases where there is only one good game worth playing in. Neither of us is getting anything, giving us both time to do other things like work and play in the $1 buy-in Stud H/L tourney.  In the tourney I have made hands and hogged 4 pots. Had 2 pair and low twice, then a 6-5 flush and 2 pair with no lows out. When I had the flush I bet and it was capped before it got back to me. *Sweet*  I have no clue what they were all betting but from the crappy cards they all start with it could be anything.

In the ring game player boob (yes that IS part of his name) had J-9-10-Q all diamonds showing and was chunking in the chips. He was called down and showed a pair of 2’s in the hole…no flush. Funny. He won high, he must be new and not know bluffing is impossible in S H/L. I left when I raised with AA5 and was re-raised by J-J-3 we played it out and he made 3 J’s on the end and I made 2 pair.  Not going to beat my head against a donk brick wall anymore right now in the ring games so I quit for a bit. First place in the tourney is $77 and sadly I need that to get my BR back over the $1400 mark.

I got a comment on a blog post where I wrote about ”Mr. Surrounded by Toads” being a nitwit.  I think it is hilarious, he evidently googles his name to “find himself” on the net.  So, I won’t give him the thrill of finding his name in this one. Regarding Mr. SBTs comment, I quote Abraham Lincoln, “It is better to keep one’s mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and resolve all doubt.” The silly guy has removed all doubt. I have to wonder if he lives in a pond since he has delusions of being surrounded by toads. LMAO as I imagine Mr. SBT’s sitting on a big lily pad…surrounded by frogs & toads (yes there is a difference I know).  The poker game is in full swing and the little ribbitts are beating every hand Mr. SBT has….too funny! 

I got back in the 2/4 ring game and won a $46 hogger and Mr. JJ3 re-raise was in the pot…paybacks are a biatchhhh. Game broke up before Mr. JJ3 could go broke…too bad. My cards in the tourney have died, they all look like road kill. But there is hope for some fun….Mr. SBTs is playing, maybe I will get lucky and run into him. Oops…I was wrong he busted out long ago…the toads must have got him again.
