Chasing Chris Ferguson

I wish I had something truly earth-shattering to say today, but I am afraid there is just the same old moldy and dusty textbook on my desk.  The title is “How To Do Nothing With Your Bankroll in 7 Months.” I played late last night, as it was the only time I could find to play.  Have been chasing my tail of late in trying to keep up with job, hubby and life in general.  Same old grind.  The only thing I could jump into quickly was a 250 play-chip tourney on Full Tilt and figured it would at least warm me up for something else to come a little later.  There were 90 players in this tourney and I held on until #18 when I lost my pair of Aced to Trip Kings.  At that point, I had a really short chip stack, so I couldn’t really do any damage to anyone in the tourney anyway.

Then I moved on to an Ultimate Bet 50 Tourney $ Freeroll for Hold-em with 4118 entrants. It turned out to be a tough fight with decent hands that lost to better ones.  At least I was getting something to attempt to play which was refreshing even though it did not end in my favor.  I finally checked as BB with a J,9 and Flopped a 10,K,Q and went for it with All-In and had 2 takers. (They both had ample chips to spare) and I was getting tired, so I thought what the heck. The Turn was a 9 which sent one opponent All- in and the other one called still with chips left. The and the River was a 4.  The All-In opponent turned up a K,J that tied my straight.  However, Mr. Big Chips has an A,J and he had been sucking us in all along!

Just as a little extra, I thought that since I have been playing for 7 whole months, you all deserved to see how much knowledge, discipline, and confidence I have gained from this whole wonderful experience.  I thought I would share a photo of myself for all you dedicated followers:
