Better Late than Never
I have tried to blog the last few days, but some glitches were glitching so I coudn’t. So here I am, a little late. I played in a couple of 1/2 Stud H/L games on PokerStars and never had much of anything. I took my big $3 win and quit. Last night I had my name up for a couple of games but by the time my seat was open, the games were in the dead zone.
I did hit a good 1/2 game for $30 then left when my cards and the game dried up. I had my name up on the 3/6 that looked good, actually it was the only game that looked worth playing in. It always amazes me the players in the 5/10 when pots are smaller than the 3/6 or even the 2/4. Who cares what limit it is if the pots are decent? And why would anyone want to risk $$$ in a 5/10 with $40 pots? Just to say they play 5/10 I guess.
I made some good hands in the 3/6 like a straight 6 and a wheel for back-up, and a baby flush, lucky me there were enough chasers to pay me off.
My last couple of hits have brought the bankroll back up to over $1300 which is about $179 off my high point. Taking a few days off between plays seems to have helped keep the card fairy looking elsewhere! I am trying to pick my games also, I just have little desire to sit in dead games and try to grind with other grinders.
~On the Hone Front~
After almost two months we will finally go pick up our new “covered wagon” next Friday. We will be leaving Wednesday and drive 3 hours to stay with Sis, get the X-Liner sprayed in the truck bed Thursday, then spend all day Friday getting the hitch installed and doing the walk around on the 5th Wheel. I am told this will be close to an all day deal and since it is hot, over 100 down there I am not looking forward to roasting. Here at home I rarely have to crank up the cooler on most days, which is really nice.
After we get the rig we will stay in a RV park by my Sis for a couple of nights to play with it and make sure things work as they should. Then we come home and outfit the new home on wheels, and take off to Reno Tuesday in it. Hubby has Doctors appointments the 30th, so we will be over there a few days on our maiden voyage. Hopefully Hubby will feel well enough for us to wander up to Oregon and camp at Crater Lake for a few days before we take our Alaska boat ride in September. I need to get the wireless internet set up so I can take working trips. My real vacation will be the cruise, can I live off-line for 3 weeks? Not sure but I will try!
I haven’t played any tourneys in ages, maybe I will try some besides my usual “shot at the moon with a BB gun” run in the PokerStars $100k guaranteed on Sunday. I don’t see why they don’t just make it a $200k event as the prize pool always hits that mark anyway and it sure would be good advertising. Funny how a little win can brighten the poker outlook!
Until next time….Grab a chair…maybe I’ll see ya there!
