Poker Sunday
I played in a $2.20 180 sng before the $11 buy-in $200K guarantee. About the fourth hand, I was dealt Q-Q. I raised the field, got raised by one gent that had smooth called, I called, the flop was all little, he bet about half the size of the pot, I went all-in, he had K-K. Busted!
I went bust on the same hand in the $200K against the same hand. Umnhhh…right into the very first hands
of the tournament - talk about repeat puke! Worst of it was that I thought I busted in the hand and I left the table. Woops! I jumped back in to find out I had 30 in chips. One of the hands that I was dealt while I was gone was A-K. Yikes! The bet was returned to the BB as no one called. On about the 3rd hand after rejoining the foray, I picked up A-9H and went all-in. Same guy that held K-K and busted my Q-Q was in the hand with me. He had K-J and hit a Jack. So what else is new?
I played another tourney, one that I said I wouldn’t invest in but it was a 40K guarantee $3.30 re-buy. I managed to flirt around with a few steals and had some chips. I picked up A-A and raised it, got raised, with a hitchhiker calling and we went all-in. One of them had K-10H, the other had 7-8C. I flopped a set. Not to worry, the K-10 flopped a four flush and a gutterball straight draw and made the straight. It’s just so fucking wrong…time after time to start with the best of it and get beat. If that’s whining, close your eyes if you don’t like it. It’s just fucking wrong…that’s how I feel about it.
The most fun of the last 3 weeks of tournaments was the PokerWorks Family Tournament or PokerWorks HORSE Tournament that kicked off at 6 p.m. PST. i think everyone had a good time, if they didn’t it’s their own damn fault. We are going to have another one in two weeks. You can check the PokerWorks’ Forum to find the time, etc. And the complete results are listered here. Everyone is welcome to play so please check the forum and set your calendar. Make sure you download PokerStars and get in on the bonus they give you.
I’m off to the poker wars.
