Oh how good it is to be home! It seems like I was gone for months instead of just over one month. The trip to Alaska was awesome, we really enjoyed it and I am so glad. I would sure have been ticked to spend all that money and not had any fun! And…I got to play poker on the trip which made it even better!

I see I missed a wild H.O.R.S.E. tourney on Sunday night. I did try to make it for the event but it was just not to be with my commitments during my travels. I did not get to my hotel room until about the time the tourney ended. A special thanks to Ken P. for attempting to fund my seat! I had to refund that endeavor! We had our bi-weekly tournament HORSE tournament and 7 of us showed up to take the challenge.  I even picked up K-K and won a pot and picked up K-5 in the SB and called $10 more in an unraised pot and flopped two pair and won that pot.  Believe me, this is a startling turn of events the way my game has gone for the last few months.  I’m very used to waiting for a week to pick up a playable hand and then have it smashed - heads-up - into a pile of plastic rubble.  I still didn’t last long. I won 15c today playing in a 10 FPP tournament.  My bankroll is back.  Wowie!  Why did I waste all that energy trying to make money when I could have just played freerolls and FPP tourneys and racked up a penny here and there?  Cause I’m a donkey-ette!  Damn donkeys!  (more…)
