Talk About No Entertainment Value!

After a busy day, I scrambled to login to Full Tilt and get in on a tourney of some kind! I barely caught open registration for the United States players freeroll at 9:05 p.m. and was quite please with myself that I made it in. I had been having some connection issues with various servers earlier in the evening and was beginning to think I would not snare a tourney at all.

I got myself some liquid refreshment and prepared to settle in for the duration.  However, I did not last long in my endeavor as fate would have it. I first caught myself a pair of Kings and was SB and bet 100 chips as the blinds were at 15/30. I was called by the entire table. I flopped trip Kings. I bet another 300 chips on that and was called by all except for two players. I was playing with the big spenders this night. There were two low diamonds on the table, and so what do you think happened next? That’s right, the Turn and The River were both diamonds! (Of course I didn’t have one in my hand)! I called a 100 chip bet on the Turn to protect what I had in the pot already and when the River came up and a player went All-In, I folded with lightening speed. That player did, of course, possess and Ace of diamonds and took home a really nice pot for his troubles!

Two-thirds of my chips gone in one hand! That really sucked! I sat for a bit and caught and AK of Clubs.  I called a bet of 150 chips along with three other players and flopped a Queen to go with my slowly building straight (not flush), which was accompanied on the table by a 9 and a 5.  One player bet 30 chips and everyone called. I probably should have folded then but just had to have a look. The Turn was another 5 and someone went 400 chips. I folded, of course. (The player had trip 5s). So why does everyone else win with trips  but I almost never do? Maybe I should have bet larger pre-flop but I had already lost too much!

Then, I caught a pair of Aces and had someone call All-In pre-flop. Well, I did too. No other takers for that one. He had a J,10 and guess what? He ended up with a straight and I ended up with TRIP ACES!!!! That was the end of that! I finished at #2127 of 2700.  That Stinks! $Maxiecat$
