Straight To Hell

My title is appropriate for both my poker play and the season! Once again, I got into the Tourney $ freeroll at Full Tilt that runs at 7:40 p.m. ET.

I was not at the table long enough for my butt to get the seat warm before I found myself wriggling and hanging on by the skin of my teeth to just stay in the game.

I caught A,K of diamonds and bet hard and was called all around. I flopped 2,4,5 with no help for anything suited and stayed another round as, to my surprise, everyone checked.  The Turn gave me a 3 and I bet hard again. I am the brave fool! Everyone folded except for one tough guy. The River  was a 7 and he had a pair of sixes!

I had 160 chips left in my stack at this point and somehow managed to claw my way back up to 4,000 chips. Just when I thought I could take a breather, it happened again. I caught a pair of Aces that turned into an A-5 straight but the River brought a third Club to the table and gave my opponent a Flush.  I was out. I finished #720 of 2700. Another scary night! $Maxiecat$

    Hi Jeff,

I actually have not had much time to play lately. It is sad that the chase is about to come to a close but we have had a good time trying to catch Chris and at least one of the three musketeers will leave the tables with a jingle in her pocket! I am afraid that it is just “not in the cards” for me to make any money at the tables this year, but I have learned much and hope to carry my knowledge forward as I continue to play for fun when the opportunity presents itself. Thanks for being a loyal follower of our endeavor and good luck to you in your own game as well!
