My Return From The Black Hole Void
Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008Yes, I am still out here constant readers, I just went AWOL for a while. Unplanned absence and then planned and unplanned again! I do apologize for the lack of warning and update, but instead of me running my life, lately my life has been running me! (more…)
No entertainment value
Monday, September 1st, 2008Maxiecat is gone - somewhere like vacation or something. PokerHack is gone too, she’s on a cruise. That leaves Chasing Chris Ferguson’s pages with boring, can’t win, me. (more…)
I don’t get it.
Saturday, August 30th, 2008I don’t understand it, I can’t stand it, and I figure I’ll be a lunitard before long if the poker run continues the way it has been. (more…)
What Changes in the World?
Friday, August 29th, 2008Not much. It’s still hot as hell in the desert. A-K still can’t beat Q-10 offsuit and Q-Q can’t beat A-2 of hearts. It’s not pretty. I feel like road kill being served up on a wood plank at the local “So You Thought You Knew How To Play” bar and grill. (more…)
Poker Sunday
Tuesday, August 26th, 2008I played in a $2.20 180 sng before the $11 buy-in $200K guarantee. About the fourth hand, I was dealt Q-Q. I raised the field, got raised by one gent that had smooth called, I called, the flop was all little, he bet about half the size of the pot, I went all-in, he had K-K. Busted! Sunday, August 24th, 2008The first ever PokerWorks Family HORSE tournament was held tonight on PokerStars at 6 p.m. PST. Ten players showed up to pony up (pun intended) their $5.50 buy-in. I am expected to brag here so I don’t want to disappoint anyone! (more…)
Three Tournaments Today
Saturday, August 23rd, 2008I barely crawled into the money in one of them. It was nice though, to end up winning a $ or 2…actually $1.45. When I was about 200 out of the $, I had about $5K left and the blinds-antes were too big for what I had. I resisted the urge to plunge with K-J spades. Perhaps I’m supposed to play that hand at that point after a long dry spell of non-playable deadwood, but I folded instead and watched the board bring nothing that would improve K-J and I would have been out on that hand instead of making it through 3200 other players to find a small bit of gristle left on the knuckle bone of a dead Card Fairy. The Black Hole
Friday, August 22nd, 2008When you’re standing at the edge of the black hole with the debris filled wind hitting you in the face as broken Aces and crushed Kings body slam you out over the edge of blackness that has turned into a bottomless pit of broken draws, premium pair beats, and River one-outers, it’s hard to believe any of it will ever change. Will it? (more…)
