Freedom to Be[t], You and Me
Richard Brodie - why, yes, he is the Quiet Lion - has railbirded me the last two nights, giving me a bit of cred with the other players in the late night Full Tilt tournaments. I thought it was because we had become such good friends during the World Series this year, and I’m sure it is. But I also realized - after he TOLD me - that he was haunting the rail because he would be committing a felony if he plays an online poker tournament. A lot of people should be jailed for their online poker play. But not Richard Brodie!
Well, I could take no more. We’ve been talking about collaborating on turning Lion Tales into a book. I told Richard and the whole room in the 11 PM MST $50 + $5 tournament that I was going to get myself arrested and get that law declared unconstitutional.
Â
Michael Craig: Richard, it makes me sick that you can’t play on line in your home state.Â
Michael Craig: When I finish the Full Tilt book and we get together on our project, you’re going to take me to the Capitol where I’m going to play online until they arrest me.Â
Quiet Lion (Observer): that sounds like funÂ
Quiet Lion (Observer): and another bookÂ
Michael Craig: But you need to be there with the bail money.Â
Quiet Lion (Observer): no problem Michael Craig: I’ll take the rap, though.Â
Michael Craig: Oh, and we’re going to do something about that public nudity statute, too.  So there. I’ve declared my intentions. And I fully intend to follow through. Unless, on advise of counsel, I decide I shouldn’t. Or they put you in a real bad jail in Washington. Or my ADD kicks in and I’m doing something else. But I think I’m going to do it.

So does this mean you will play online poker naked on the steps of the capitol? I think I just threw up a little in my mouth.

Man Al, you really get around (in more ways than one I\’m sure). Nice to see a familiar face in a new place for me. Love the blog Michael. Just bought The P, The B and the SK, which is a pretty big deal because I read most poker books in short sessions at the local Borders bookstore, but your was too good not to buy it. Look forward to keeping up with your blog and the new Full Tilt book. Run good!
