God Bless PokerStars

I just realized that the Poker Stars 25k freeroll for the old-timers is tonight. Too damn cool and kudos to Stars for pimping all of us old-schoolers who supported the site back in beta.

Good God, that was over five years ago. Geezus. Again, it’s damn cool of them to run this perk.

It’s no surprise that Poker Stars is the #1 online poker site right now. Excellent software, the best customer service and non-stop quaility tournaments. What more could you want?

I’m looking at PokerSiteScout and see that Party Poker has regained the #2 spot – that’s pretty damn impressive. Full Tilt has dropped to #3 – not sure why or how. Party has always had kickass marketing and fishy games, USA players notwithstanding. I’m still feeling homeless without them. Anyway, I’d prolly play more at Full Tilt if nearly all of their ring games weren’t 6 handed.

After the holidays, I’m going to load up on some of the poker sites here at Poker Works that I haven’t played at before. I’ve always enjoyed hunting down overlays in the past, but sadly, have gotten away from that. Expect me to do so and report back here.

Not much else here tonight – I’m cooking for 12 people tomorrow and all my prep work is done. Looking forward to a day of excellent food and football. My Bengals are a dog.
Hope everyone enjoys a fantastic holiday.

Thought I’d include the PokerStars email.

On December 23 and December 30 at 2030 EST, we are hosting Class of 2001 $25,000 Freeroll Tournaments. As part of the class of 2001, you will receive an absolutely FREE entry to one of these invitation only tournaments. Just click on “Requests” and “Tournament Tickets” in the PokerStars lobby to view your ticket or click on “Tourney” and “Freeroll” to register for one of the two events.

Also, as a special gift to you, we are upgrading your PokerStars VIP status to Platinum through the end of January. For the next month you’ll be able to take full advantage of all the benefits of being a Platinum Star in the PokerStars VIP club.
