This is a letter I want to share with you and express my hope you will write something similar to your elected official. I avoided, I hope, a confrontational aspect and tried to appeal to my being a dissatisfied but continuing supporter. Use your own examples but explain your deep unhappiness over the issue. The election will be behind us shortly and a new congress will arrive on the scene. Try to influence it in the best way possible for all.
Dear Senator Luger:
I thought I should let you know why I won’t be voting for you this coming Tuesday. It will be the first time that has happened.
I had always admired your record. When you got involved things happened and typically in a manner I considered for the good. The Russian situation being a great example.
As a child in WWII, I understand war efforts and how they can negatively impact our citizenry. We make many sacrifices
Very well written and straight to the heart of the matter. Nice job. We need our fellow poker playing americans, and no playing americans (because they need to be aware of how these type of laws affect their future freedoms) to jump on the wagon and make a point.
