Looking to the Future

With Neteller being up-in-the-air over how long they will participate in funding poker sites, there are questions about the future.

An email today from Ultimate Bet informed me they are now taking ePassport funding. I wasn’t familiar with them other than in the vaguest way. With Neteller linked to a rather inactive local account, I had no need to look.

Epassport offers two credit card options. One is a virtual card which is only electronic but you can link a flesh-and-blood card too. This is a prepaid credit card. You fund it with a regular credit or debit card. Once funded, you go to the Visa site provided and enter a validation process which allows you to assign a password. You also can enter and change the PIN number.

Along this somewhat convoluted route you have access to your account information via their server. This gives you control over the funding aspect.

I don’t see how a winning player can get the money out easily. Their FAQ is a bit obscure (Read non-existant) in those details. With their physical card you can use it just like the normal debit card for buying gas, dinner, or whatever. So, for those with modest wins it isn’t a problem. If you are in the habit of big wins
