Poker News Rocks Down-Under

If you haven’t followed the Aussie Million at PokerNews, you’ve missed the highest quality reporting of a tournament that I’ve seen.

OK, Poker News is a sister site. So, this will sound like total pimpage. It ain’t! If you don’t believe me you are dumber than I was the night I pushed the short, small blind preflop and when it came KKQ, represented the AK. Had to make the crying call and my railbird friends JB and Doc, watched me turn up nothing against the SB’s KQ.

They have a number of innovative features. They are doing videos and John Caldwall is superb and the production values are for CardPlayer to eat their hearts out over. On one of them he even visits the smoke house and brings in a dry-cured Pauly – who is articulate…who’da figured… Pauly is the blogger hired by them for the event!

Joe Sebok joins him for one and they do some great hand reviews. You can review special hands on the site using a video that plays out the hand like it was on your online site. That is really neat. Great Daniel interview. More players and an intelligent questioner for a change. Kenna does some hand analysis. The video section is awesome.

If you’ve kind of ignored the Aussie, you’ve missed some great reporting. There is blood, sweat, tears and a nice pile of cash invested here to bring you the best of the best in online coverage of a major tournament.
