My little run in those $150 Guarantees at TonyG continue. I won another. This one had nice addon money — the tournaments are getting more entries. I made just over a hundred and picked up the $25 bounty on Diamndjm. Tony is also adding one buyin to the SnG’s and doing bounties there. So, a 9 seat SnG pays like a 10 and if the bounty is active you can get your buyin back for taking him out.
We started this one with 20 players (5-.50) and there were a combo of 26 rebuys or addons. I watched a couple of people rebuy 5 times. They’d have needed to finish fourth to make 4.15. I did not even do the addon. It (T2000) would have moved me up one position. Didn’t seem worth it.
Lousy cards early; played like a rock; table was super aggressive with 4 or so seeing pots that were raised 7-8x; one nice suckout kept me alive early. But late play cards made up for it. In the heads up I had the lead and then was on the ropes with an M=2. Yes, I made some hands from there. But, I bought some nice pots, too. He also suspended belief on the hands I was well ahead on and his overcards didn’t get there. Here’s the last hand. He had an ace; the luckbox held up. Hey, I was ahead preflop…

I’ve pretty much decided to go back to debit card and checks for payouts. Early on I funded with a debit card and I tried that over the weekend. It still works. It was quite a while before taking some money off the table was something that worked. My first few cashouts were using checks. They got there faster than most sites say is the range to expect. If sites work on speeding that up just slightly, it is viable. Those with big accounts won’t have that but will need to find a back channel. They could go with an off-shore account although that can cause an IRS headache. But, those folks have that already.
The big money casino operators have to be salivating here. The price of online sites will take another hit. Casinos are shopping the market. When they’ve bought their position, it makes sense to then take their bankroll to the PAC and PR firms in Washington to get the U.S. In step with the rest of the world
